Class Overview and FAQ's

What is the Ultimate Education Event of the Century?

The Ultimate Education Event of the Century is a two-day Seminar, combining interactive demonstration and hands-on practice.  The goal is to bring a diverse group of experienced, successful Salon Professionals together in one place, and have them share their knowledge, techniques and insights with other Salon Professionals.  All the Educators are practicing professionals, and each brings his or her own special techniques, perspective and experience to the Class.

When and Where is the Event?

The class will be held at the Charlotte Ramada Conference Center (http://www.ramadawoodlawn.com/mainpage.html) on March 15th and March 16th.  More information will follow about group room rates. There is a free shuttle from the Charlotte airport to the hotel and the Education team is happy to arrange roommate situations if you ask!

What will we learn?

What makes the event unique is the diverse nature and expertise of the Educators.  Each has a “specialty”, a particular focus for which they have become recognized as a leader in the industry.  Some will focus on techniques, demonstrating effective ways to create perfect foil placement, for example.  Others may discuss methods for working with specific tools, like a razor.  Some topics are broad, discussing an entire spa/salon service, such as updos, while others, like color placement techniques, are very focused.  In addition, each Educator will share his or her best practices in how their techniques, tips and suggestions can help build your business and make you more successful.   Check the About Us page for information on the topics covered by the Educators who will be presenting at the class you are interested in attending.

Who can benefit from this Class?

The Class is open to students, beginners and seasoned Professionals alike.  Topics are diverse enough to ensure that everyone learns something, regardless of current skill level.

What is the format for the event?

Day 1 is primarily demonstration and discussion.  Each educator will present to the group, with the aid of a big screen where appropriate.  Anticipate taking lots of notes for review later.  The format is designed to be interactive, and questions are more than encouraged, they are expected.  Day 2 is hands-on time, practicing the concepts and techniques discussed on Day 1.  All the Educators remain in the classroom both days, and are available for more individual interaction, adding to the ongoing discussion.

What should I bring?

Bring your own product for Day 2, especially.  The objective is to build on your current skill set, and that is best achieved with products and tools with which you are already familiar.  Experimenting with alternative tools, products and creative techniques is certainly encouraged, and the Educators will assist you in the learning, but you should be prepared with your own tools and materials.

We look forward to learning with you!
